A reasonably priced toothbrush with features of more expensive models Mar 08, 2010 Pros: Affordable, extremely long battery life, automatic turn off after 2 minute brush, comes with travel case
Cons: Replacement heads a bit on the expensive side
The toothbrush comes with one replaceable head, convenient travel case and charge base.
After trying this product for about a month now, every time I use it, I still get that "clean from the dentist" feel. I use it twice a day and can get more than a weeks worth of use before charging the battery.
I noticed there were some comments regarding cleaning the brush heads. It is not that hard, wipe it with a cloth or run the water like any other toothbrush. Unscrew it one a week and clean the inside. It's a great product for the money.
Sonicare Essence 5300 Power Toothbrush Mar 07, 2010 This is the 2nd one of these that I have owned. I am completely sold on the quality of the toothbrush. Warning, there will be an adjustment period while you get used to the cleaning action of the sonic brush. Your teeth and gums will feel clean, like never before (or like after going to the dentist for a cleaning) in only 2 minutes. This brush does not have the quad pacer feature (every 30 seconds you hear a tone telling you to brush in another quadrant of your mouth). It does have a 2 minute timer though, so its nearly the same. Recharges very well in the base. Does not have the issue with water intrusion like the $29.99 battery operated one that you can buy the cheapest. Believe me, I tried one. You are better off buying this model. It will last longer, and deliver higher quality brushings day after day after day. You will save money at the dentist too with better check ups. Buy this model, you won't be disappointed, and you can pay more if you want and not get a better brush overall.
Best toothbrush Mar 04, 2010 I have had a sonicare for about 15 years this is probably my 3rd or 4th. You could never go back to a regular toothbrush. I had to buy a new one as I left it in the hotel room.
Philips Sonicare Essence 5300 toothbrush Feb 24, 2010 The items was shipped quickly and in excellent shape and have been enjoying it ever since.

I guess it is better than a toothbrush Feb 23, 2010 At first I thought my friends who all had sonicare were going a little crazy about it. I thought piks, floss, and regular brushing would be enough. But I finally bought one and it does give my teeth a real cleaning, which I love and I seem to be using it the 2 optimal minutes without getting impatient I think it's a good product
